...marvelous
program of guitar and flute duets..there is a definite artistic dialogue
going on here and everything about the project boasts precision and
attention to detail. It is quite simply one of the most beautiful sound
recordings I have ever heard...there's
a brilliant presence about the recording. You'll swear the Dearings
are performing in your living room.

The Dearing
Concert Duo transports listeners to a different time and space with
their exquisite renditions of classical and modern music. They...transform
the very air around them with a gentle magic that allows the music to
come alive. The beautiful textures and tones of the Dearing Concert
Duo convince the listener that there's much more going on than
simply one guitar and one flute. The sounds and colors seem to fill
the spaces, pulling the listener into a peaceful daydream.
Take
One flows perfectly from one piece to the next, seemingly against
all logic. The transitions are smooth, and they playfully ignore the
fact that hundreds of years and countless cultural barriers separate
these pieces.
