 the
Dearing Concert Duo brings you live classical music duets featuring
soprano Abha Dearing and classical guitarist Steven
Dearing. Based in metro Detroit, Michigan they perform at music festivals,
chamber music series, small concert halls, universities and church music
series on both sides of the Atlantic. They are the winners of 6 awards
presented by the Motor City Music Foundation and their 3 CD's have received
critical acclaim. The duo is currently on the roster of the Michigan
Humanities Touring Program.
Steven
and Abha formed the DCD in 1998 after becoming partners in marriage. They
can be heard throughout North America and Europe, both live and via radio
waves. They have also performed on both American and Canadian public television.

The Dearings provides live music for recitals, chamber music, weddings,
classical guitar lessons, corporate events requiring music in Michigan
with a unique mix of Voice and Classical Guitar, Flute and Classical
Guitar and solo guitar specializing in Spanish works by Falla, Rodrigo,
Granados and Latin music by Piazzolla and Pujol as well as contemporary
American works and European classics. |
